Q. Do you need a picture?
A. Yes we do, it helps to have a headshot and a full body picture of the person(s) that is going to be represented.
Q. What other information do you need?
A. Anything about the person(s), any detail or quirk that you feel defines the person(s) character, if it's you who requires the drawing of yourself asking friends to give brief summaries of you helps also.
Q. How long does it take to get the drawing done?
A. Our schedule is 5 days minimum, but this varies based on the response of the client, as they have to approve the image that is produced, if it isn’t approved then the drawing is modified until the client is satisfied.
Q. What programs do you use?
A. The sketches are drawn by hand then inked afterwards it’s scanned and imported into photoshop where the colours are then applied.
Q. Is it hard for you to create the drawings?
A. It depends actually, to be honest it’s easier for me the illustrator (Negash) if I’ve actually met the person and gotten a chance to “observe” them. But I’ve adapted by asking for brief character descriptions and it seems to be working out so far. But it usually comes down to how the client feels about it in the end; they are the determining factor, if they aren’t pleased then the jobs not done.
Q. Would a video of the person help?
A. A video would be great actually because then we could really see the individual(s) so if you can send us a video feel free.
